Jupiter's giant cyclones are revealed by stunning Nasa imagery

Giant cyclones swirling over the north pole of Jupiter are revealed in new imagery released by Nasa. Using data gathered by the Juno mission’s Jovian InfraRed Auroral Mapper (JIRAM) instrument, Nasa has created a 3D infrared animation which shows a vast central cyclone over the pole, surrounded by eight smaller cyclones. The biggest of these has a diameter of nearly 3,000 miles.
